Couples Retreat - 2009 Oscar winner's next Hollywood venture (Sound track links)

Couples Retreat is an upcoming 2009 comedy filmdirected by Peter Billingsley and written by Jon Favreau, Vince Vaughn and Dana Fox. Vaughn and Favreau also star in the film. The cast also includesFaizon Love, Jason Bateman,Kristin Davis, Kristen Bell, Malin Akerman and Kali Hawk. A. R. Rahman, winner of two Oscars at the81st Academy Awards, is scoring the music for this film

A R Rahman never forgets his mother tongue "Tamil" Be it the speech after receiving the coveted Oscar "Ella Pugazhum Iraivanukke" (Glory to God) or this wonderful song in his soul-touching voice in the song "Kuru Kuru Kan" from "Couples Retreat".

Rahman also is actually fulfilling his dream-bringing Indian music to the world audience. The soundtrack has got many tunes with the same grandeur of th Hollywood music directors yet with the Indian flavor with the use of instruments like Tabla, Sitar and many more.

The track, "Jason & cynthia" in particular reminds us of his inclination to Western Clasical Music. (As we all know, Rahman has founded a Conservatory @ Chennai, India for popularising all forms of Classical music and in particular Western Classical.)
